I installed an ssd into the box after i found the noise from a sata disk too much, the vibration was very annoying. To install a hdd of your choice is very straightforward – the box has all the holes in the right places and its a 5 minute job to connect and secure the drive. The software is poor and out of date. I still can’t get it to work on a computer but it does work albeit a bit tempermentally on my iphone. After saying this i have read reviews on very expensive samsung cctvs which also have poor software support. Image quality day and night is very good, the cameras seem good quality and have a nice form factor, not too obtrusive. Delivery from bluestone was excellent. All in all so far i am really happy with the system, its a shame that for the sake of a software update and website refresh the system didn’t get 5 stars but for the money i’m really happy.
