Review and Buying Guide Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Compact System Camera in

Tiny and light you can retain it. Smaller and light you can preserve it in your pocket. Can make you want to go out and shoot.

I wished a backup for my e-m5ii and was about to obtain a e-m10ii body only – until finally i recognized the two-lens package price only £30 far more. Cut price :-)i didn’t have to have both lens but they provide effectively on a nicely-regarded auction web-site for anything up to about £200, producing the physique an astonishingly very low price just after lens disposal, and it is a genuinely good camera. It’s scaled-down and lighter than my e-m5ii but apart from deficiency of weather sealing it has a pretty thorough aspect set that practically matches its more high-priced sibling and a massive advancement more than the initial e-m10. To be trustworthy i actually desire it to the e-m5ii if only because of the somewhat reduced evf magnification (much better for eyeglasses wearers like me) and a tilt lcd which i significantly prefer rather than the entirely-articulated screed on the e-m5ii. That and the lighter bodyweight make it a enjoyment to use in fair weather conditions. Incidentally the forty-150 is a somewhat excellent lens (i now had one particular) but i’m unimpressed by the 14-42 pz which makes rather flat, lifeless images. It is on the other hand extremely little and gentle, so i made a decision to preserve it ‘just in case’ and provide my existing copy of the forty-a hundred and fifty (for about £80), so the ‘kit’ remains intact while beneath guarantee. Really great purchase, extremely advised.

  • Small, light, luxurious premium design
  • Powerful 5-Axis Image Stabilisation
  • Clear View with 2.36M Dots OLED EVF
  • Superbly slim pancake zoom lens
  • Perfect for Close-up portraits or long distances

Excellent for knowledgeable photographers who do not want to have a dslr. The graphic stabilisation system is developed into the human body of the camera, alternatively than the lenses. This usually means that the lenses are lesser, lighter and more cost-effective with no sacrificing picture stabilisation. This will allow you to shoot at slower shutter speeds which drastically improves picture high quality. The mft lenses tend to be quite good and cover a wide vary of applications. The 40-100mm lens weighs practically nothing, but is surprisingly sharp.

If your imagining of upgrading or want a really excellent back up. photo excellent is superb and the camera it self is effectively designed and feels excellent in your arms.

Extremely very good camera with numerous characteristics.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II Compact System Camera in Black + 14-42 EZ Lens + 40-150mm R : I bought this camera recently as i wanted a small camera with the characteristics of an slr without the weight. I already have a fuji x100t and i love it but i still wanted the flexibility of interchangeable lenses. Couple this with the fact that i have a panasonic g3 and micro four thirds lenses (sorry i should have said ‘had’ a panasonic g3, my wife has now swiped that for herself) and it seemed only natural that i should get the new olympus body and make use of the pany lenses. I don’t want to get technical here but, omg, this little camera is beautiful. Just to hold it in the palm of your hand make you drool, it is just so pretty. I slapped on my 14-42mm panasonic lens and went out to give it a try and it performed just as i hoped it would, perfectly. Since then i have bought an olympus f1. 8 45mm prime, an olympus f1. 8 17mm prime and a samyang 7.

Great for experienced photographers who don’t want to carry a dslr. The image stabilisation system is built into the body of the camera, rather than the lenses. This means that the lenses are smaller, lighter and cheaper without sacrificing image stabilisation. This allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds which dramatically improves image quality. I was looking for something that i. I was looking for something that i could ‘grow into’, ie coming up for retirement, an interest in photography and something that is easy to carry. Dslr is good but it can be cumbersome to carry around on walks, etc. I wasn’t expecting such a great camera at what turned out to be a good price. I tried ‘auto’ to start with and was surprised at the very good results. One of the reasons i liked the idea of a compact system camera was the ability to keep it lightweight but allowing me to add lenses at a later date. I then looked at different makes. The appeal of olympus was the image stabilisation in particular.
