    Nice toy but not a serious security device, too many flaws. This product looked great, space age design and a bit of a curiosity and it promised so much. Small compact and can be put anywhere. I work from home so don’t actually go out that much during the day but i do live in an old farmhouse tucked away down a country lane so security is obviously on my mind. First off, i equally had difficulties setting this to arm itself as it should. I have a cat, it states that you can set it for pet immunity but i found that if my cat were in the house, this pod would pick up his movements and record unnecessary footage thereby wasting vital storage space on the memory card. An ability to upload the data to a cloud storage account every 24 hours would be fab as yes, as one reviewer stated if you go on holiday for 2 weeks and your house is burglarised in the first week you are stuffed for proof. And perhaps the manufacturer might consider partnering with dropbox or whoever to offer a reduced subscription to such an account for such purposes. This product proved to be a jack of all and a master of none.

Not top of the range or anything exciting but handy to have nonetheless.

    Guardzilla has so many bells and whistles, figuratively speaking, as it only has one actual whistle (a very loud one), that it’s difficult to know how to review it fairly. Let’s begin with the positives then. For a start the interface app for my iphone is very good, it’s clear, easy to set up and a lot of fun. In fact syncing the phone to the unit was more entertaining than you might expect. In my experience syncing a device is usually where the stress begins, but the guardzilla was easy. Love the name toothe camera is excellent as well, although occasionally temperamental as it sometimes views in colour, sometimes b&w and sometimes takes a while to link altogether. Once set up though, it’s pretty reliable. It would make a great two way communicator or monitor for someone out of the room, as it provides a live feed to your phone or pc and can listen in or communicate two way. It also has a sim card slot for extended recording if needed on the camera.

      This is a really good idea, it’s quite attractive to look at and a reasonable size so that it doesn’t look out of place in any room. The picture you get on your phone is quite clear and the siren is ear splittingly loud. The only downside i can see to this is that anyone can unplug the guardzilla and carry it off, there doesn’t seem to be anyway of storing pictures other than by a memory stick, which is in the actual alarm so any evidence would vanish with the device. It won’t work if you don’t have the internet, so that would be an added expense if you had no other use for the internet.
