    Despite my initial cynicism, this is robust, well made, works well and is a very good buy. I was quite prepared to fire this back to amazon (excellent returns policy) if it disappointed (given the price point). Surprised to find that i am very pleased with it after trying it out for 24 hours. The build quality is good, the manual is good, the setting procedures are logical and understandable and most importantly the picture and video quality is good.The only thing i was not keen on was the screw-on adjustable mounting bracket which i thought was a bit cheap but for what i paid, i can hardly grumble. Very happy with this, it does all it says it does and it does it well.

    Well made, but poor video performance. Sorry to say that whilst this appears to be fairly well made (hence the 3 stars), the specs on the amazon site don’t appear to match those on the packaging, or my in tests. 1080p30 is not at all smooth and looks more like 10 frames per second or less (on a class 10 sd card). The packaging says the waterproof rating is ip56 and not the claimed ip65 – and the battery life is shown on the box as 8 months and not the 16 months on the website. Obviously, i can’t say which is right, but the poor video performance meant it’s being returned.
