Review and Buying Guide Bushnell 119440 Nature View HD Max Camera

Bushnell have rested on their laurels with their trailcam selection, from trophy onwards. This is superior than the 2011 and 2012 designs for sure but still flawed. Video data files are awful (avi but not a legitimate avi so you may perhaps will need diverse software program on your laptop or computer to view). Atrocious crackly microphone that means i go away seem off on all clips now. Hyper sensitive to motion (old bushnells had been not sensitive plenty of – this has long gone the other way, so large sensitivity mode is rendered ineffective – lower is additional than plenty of sensitive). Pretty inadequate night time clips (noisy) – a function of most black led styles having said that. Fantastic points – bring about time considerably better than the frankly atrocious older bushnells and pleasant hybrid mode (cam can acquire a photo and the video clip when triggered) as nicely as awesome shut aim lenses. This will be my previous bushnell right up until they realise they have been caught and handed by their competitors now.

Acquired some great movies of hedgehog at night.

Ok the seem does not perform at all. Know that in advance of you get 1 . Its meant to have sound recording but that does not function. Possibly ive been sold a defective product or like other reviewers have said bushnell are useless at recording any audio. ( the audio resolved to operate on one video right after days of it never working . But now its gone again) i had a serious hassle finding this to get the job done as it kept stating insert sdhc card when i presently had . The person handbook explicitly tells you what memory cards to get for it ( sandisk sdhc 32gb either ultra or severe) so i acquired two at £23 each but the bushnell 119440 will not settle for people cards ( update11aug14 im confident amazon bought me pretend sandisk sdhc playing cards so beware if they occur with yellow lock swap and say manufactured in taiwan on the back theyre bogus the genuine types have gray lock swap and say manufactured in china also the fakes create at 50 percent the speed theyre intended to i know as a relative bought same playing cards and analyzed them) i finally acquired it to function employing sandisk 64gb sdxc extraordinary playing cards class 10 . The amazon cost for the bushnell 119440 keeps altering but is averaging £260 in june 2014 which is as well high but beware of shopping for somewhere else for cheeper as united states imports only have a 1yr guarantee. The excellent information it does function im working with it in yard to try out to capture a area burglar .

I prefer the ltl acorns for efficiency and value for dollars.

It is accomplishing a time lapse in my garden as nicely. It truly is performing a time lapse in my yard as nicely as capturing wild animals. Sadly the camera does not have a environment to boost/reduce publicity worth so have no manage more than backlight.

Bushnell 119440 Nature View HD Max Camera with Colour LCD : Great pics – but a little more care in the design would make it great. . The camera takes great daytime pictures and videos, and acceptable night time capture as well. The only thing i would like to see is a viewfinder so you can see exactly where it is pointing as it’s too easy to aim slightly too high or low – surely this would be a simple addition. This problem needs to be addressed by using a fixed/locking head tripod, removing the camera and checking the first stills after initial setup. Note that you cannot see the lcd unless the camera is opened, so it needs to be set up again after doing this, hence the locking head on the tripod. The protecting case has a tripod mount at the bottom and i would prefer to see a second mount at the back (same as the trophycam). I had no problems with either 16gb and 32gb sandisk ultra type 10 sdhc cards. Overall very pleased with this unit. The trophy cam purchased at the same time has been returned as that ‘froze’ after taking a few hybrid captures using the same schc cards.

Bushnell 119440 nature view hd max camera. This is my second nature view camera i have in my garden, the first more basic but the new one is excellent with clear daylight and night images, i like being able to view what is on the sd card while it is in the camera, great improvement and in colour.

It’s doing a time lapse in my garden as well. It’s doing a time lapse in my garden as well as capturing wild animals. Unfortunately the camera doesn’t have a setting to increase/decrease exposure value so have no control over backlight.

Can’t believe the speed that the camera arrived. Can’t believe the speed that the camera arrived. Less than 24 hours later it was set up and ready to go. Will let you know how the filming goes.

The amazon price for the bushnell 119440 keeps changing but is averaging £260 in june 2014 which is too high but beware of buying elsewhere for cheeper as usa imports only have a 1yr warranty. The good news it does work im using it in garden to try to catch a local burglar .

Bushnell have rested on their laurels with their trailcam range, from trophy onwards. This is better than the 2011 and 2012 models for sure but still flawed. Video files are terrible (avi but not a true avi so you may need different software on your computer to view). Atrocious crackly microphone meaning i leave sound off on all clips now. Hyper sensitive to movement (old bushnells were not sensitive enough – this has gone the other way, so high sensitivity mode is rendered useless – low is more than enough sensitive). Very poor night clips (noisy) – a feature of most black led models however. Good points – trigger time far better than the frankly atrocious older bushnells and nice hybrid mode (cam can take a photo and the video when triggered) as well as nice close focus lenses. This will be my last bushnell until they realise they have been caught and passed by their competition now.

The cam has been working full time for a week now and has worked as expected. The images are good and the blur is noticeable but acceptable from the 1 second night images. It takes a short time to re-start after turning off, which may catch you out the first few times (i turned it off then on again untill i realised i had to wait a little longer). I would have given it 5/5 if the reply to my email was quicker (requesting whether the firmware on the usa site for this model – strangely missing from the european web site would be ok to download to my uk bought item). I sent it originaly on the 9th august to bushnell uk, re-sent it on the 15th and got a reply on the 21st (for those interested the reply was to use the firmware to prevent movie flickering which i had not suffeed from). My next cam will probably be from a different manufacturer, scoutguard etc, as the quality difference does not seem to be that different but their prices are better.
