Bought this in jan 15 and it worked fine with good day video but v slow trigger. Bought this in jan 15 and it worked fine with good day video but v slow trigger, as others have said- missed no end of stuff. In oct the thing stopped working and the lcd screen won’t switch on, even though the leds on the front show that it’s switched on and detecting movement ok- nothing being recorded. Noticed that the lcd screen has become detached from the casing and lifts up slightly- suspect the sealant failed. Hasn’t been dropped at all and doesn’t look like anyone found it and clouted the casing or anything. Don’t know if this can be repaired but probably not worth it.

Nightime. Just about acceptable. A step back in picture quality. . This is my second bushnell trail cam. I have one from the 2010 range. In truth the older one is better. I take this stance purely on what it is designed to do and that is take pictures night or day. I use it for wildlife and whilst the daytime pics and vids are ok the night time ones are not very good. If you have nothing to compare it then you may be happy but i have and it’s not as good, picture quality wise. Prosvery quick pir triggerscamera recovery is fastno glow ledsgood battery lifegood tatch system (single)conspoor picture quality at nightbig unit12x batteriesshiny led coverthe tripod connection on base is useless as it is covered by a non changeable adaptor inlet (just plain daft)i was lucky to get it at a much reduced price so not overly bothered but it was a disappointment quality wise instead of the hoped for wow factor having read all the full hd features.

Great – excellent video quality – very sensitive – just. Great – excellent video quality – very sensitive – just wish there was a ‘bear proof’ steel container as with other versions for use where there is a theft risk .

This camera is the second bushnell trophy cam we have purchased, and is certainly an improvement on most counts. The ir leds seem to cause little disturbance to foxes which are just 1. 5 metres away, and the improved control over the number of leds which are triggered result in much improved video with far less ‘bleaching out’ due to over-lighting of close subjects. At the top video quality setting playback on an hd tv is impressive, and the 2014 models offer more settings including the ability to incorporate location coordinates into images (useful if you have more than one camera in use), and seemingly has the ability to update the firmware via bushnell’s website. The over-centre closing clamp is also much better to use in the field, but the person who designed the base of this camera needs shooting as the dc power input is far too close to the tripod socket rendering it impossible to use an external power supply if mounted on a normal tripod – a big fail herein general though, the results from this camera continue to delight on a daily and nightly basis – but i would recommend anyone wishing to use the top quality video setting to get a high speed sd card – i use class 10 80mb/s samsung cards without any problems.
