    Good quality cameras and pvr. Shame about the accompanying app. The cameras are excellent quality and the interface is quite good. The motion detection is very sensitive (picks up rain) but i am sure i just need to play around with the settings. The android app is not very nice, it does the job but cannot seem to get push alerts working and all app comms are in chinese. The support staff at annke are also very helpful.

    However i was recommended to upgrade it. Hi all,i have this sannce dvr and has been working ok, however i was recommended to upgrade it, so i get better features. Therefore, i went to and download the upgrade. I uploaded and push upgrade. Dvr was upgrading and seems was going ok, but suddenly stop and just display a black page with sannce logo. I am very upset the sannce provided a dodgy firmware. I bounced, but still the same. I had static ip previously, but now no able to reach by ip (dynamic and static) so wonder if one of you may know how to factory reset or put previous firmware if unable to access by web and neither by vga/hdmi.

    For the money, this system is great, easy install, set-up, picture quality amazing. Only reason have dropped a star, the android app. The phone version is perfect, the andriod tablet after a day i get a green screen so have to un install/reinstall to see the stream. A few others have commented the same on app store so hopefully feedback will get it sorted.

    Very good, excellent lengths on the cables. Only downside is that the software is very clunky. The mobile app (android) is not in the play store so you have to download the apk and enable “unknown sources” which has bits still in chinese. The web interface doesn’t work in chrome, but works fine in ie (urgh). These two downpoints lose a star for me, the frontend could be a lot better. The camera quality is very good and especially at night it has no issues seeing to the end of the garden (25yds) and a lot further. I’ve not really used the hdmi because i don’t have ethernet anywhere near my tv (everything is wireless these days). I did use it for initial setup and it was fine.

The third phone call i got staff and he as amazing. It took awhile, but he figured out the problem and got me up and running.

        Annke site says that this is is viewable via safari, it is not. The site for pc download hits back with virus alerts, there are some mac third party apps, not all with the same functionality. The software for iphones is not annke branded but xmeye and another site with little info and is a via china and buggy and only allows viewing previous videos for 24 hrs. Have not managed to get the xmeye or inbuilt software to send email alerts. Not sure if the cameras are ip 66, 67 or 68 rated depends on where your look. 2 year warranty is better than mainstream, not sure yet if this is worth the trade off over poor software. Full software is only pc compatible and if you search for the dvr on the website there is no reference to it.

System is very easy to install, with cables labelled appropriately and the cameras themselves can be easily adjusted to point in the correct direction with the supplied allen key. The hard drive and software was pre-installed and it was very much a ‘plug and play’ setup, just connect all the wires and turn on the monitorreally great system for the money.
